Aa, 5 from Misc is Ceres, from the manga Ayashi no Ceres, the one I consider Watase Yu's greatest work :)

OMG WE CAN HAS TIFA?! She's probably an NC, though, huh? Well, better than her limited cameo in Crisis Core.

Glad to hear from you again! Once you get back on your feet we need to work more on the FFXII manga :D

Hope you've been doing well over these past few months!

Haha! You read my thoughts I've been translating a lot lately, although mostly the Ultimania Guides. Urgh. there are about 2000 pages in all from four publications on FF XII (Battle, Scenario, Omega and International Zodiac Job System) 0_o But I do have some stuff almost ready to send manga-wise (just needs to be typed, really), if you still feel up for it ;-)

Ah thanks. I have heard Ayashi no Ceres mentioned so many times! But it's one of those things that you always promise yourself you'll do "later" if you know what I mean just like playing Persona. I guess I should move my a** for a change and get the first few volumes ordered :p I'm not a big fan of shoujo usually, but the whole mythological/fantasy aspect of it has always intrigued me

Ack, meant to write "Tina", not "Tifa" URGH! Sorry about that :s Although they've announced that there would be hidden characters, so who knows? Maybe Tifa will make an appearance too?

You can also read it over at Mangavolume.com (http://www.mangavolume.com/serie-archive/mangas-ayashi-no-ceres/). I'm personally not a great big fan of shoujo, either, but this particular series has always been a personal favorite with the gorgeous shoujo artwork and a seinen-esque storyline. It sort of reminds me of FFVII (which should be no surprise; Watase herself is a fan of FFVII).

Wow, no wonder you've been busy; that's a lot of translation. But the manga project is for fun, so just shoot me an e-mail whenever you have the energy :)

Yeah, Tina/Terra was great to see announced, though I would've preferred Matthew/Sabin or Celes more. But wow, all of the characters look gorgeous, IMO. They need to make a Dissidia 2 with, like, ALL of the FF characters. I was initially wary since they'd just be big-sword vs. big-sword, but Terra changed that being a magic user.

I'm surprised they haven't mentioned any XII characters though. Maybe because there's no real main character in XII.

I've read somewhere that they had begun planning Dissidia before FF XII was completed and released, which explains why there is not Balflear no FFXII character. Who knows if any of them will make a guest appearance or could be one of those "secret" characters one could unlock?

It's funny because at the beginning I was really not looking forward to it - it looked like a glorified sequel to Ehrgeiz (sic!) but now it appears there will be a proper story....so hopefully, less like Ehrgeiz, more like a new series à la Kingdom Hearts. Well, one's allowed to hope, no? The one thing I'm wondering though is where this particular episode will be situated in relation with each character's storyline in their respective world. Have their stories as told in the main FF series already unfold, or are they not familiar yet with each other's nemesis? Maybe I will end up hugely disappointed, mind you, but at least it will look good, as you said ;-)
